SAFETY FIRST
In Power IT and Electronics, safety is our very first priority for work place. For Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we always try to follow the ISO 45001 and NFPA-70E Standards.
In every project, we provide one or more (depending on site location and area) safety officer who ensure the workplace environment is safe for the workers. He also gives proper guidance to the workers. The safety instructions is given to the workers in daily meeting before work starts. The safety officers are liable for identifying the hazard and risks of the workplace and report or take necessary actions to improve it. We use proper safety signs and mark the restricted area with ribbon in sites.
In site, all the engineers and workers are bound the use essential protection like Helmets, Safety jackets, Safety Glasses, Gloves etc. For high elevation work, workers use safety belts and ropes. For hot work or high voltage work they checks earthing and use welding helmet, face shield mask, jacket etc.
Beside using of proper and safe tools and equipment, we have provided first aid box to all working teams on field for emergency aid for the injured person. We have Group insurance policy at Metlife Alico for both employees and workers. Through this insurance, we get priority services for emergency ambulance and medical support form over hundreds of hospitals all over Bangladesh.
We give preference to the safety instruction form our clients. By the grace of almighty and following the safety standard, Power IT and Electronics has not face any major accident yet were life lost or partial disabilities happened. We take all the responsibility to ensure the safety of our workers.
